Please read these terms carefully before using our services
Introduction
Welcome to GrandConnects. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our chauffeur and transportation services. By booking or using our services, you enter into a legally binding agreement with GrandConnects, a company registered in South Africa.
1. Booking Confirmation and Communication
- Bookings confirmation is emailed to the provided email for every booking. The booker is responsible for checking each confirmation document for accuracy, and to advise our 24-hour reservations team of any essential amendments, to avoid charges.
- An SMS/email will be sent a day before the transfer takes place to the email/contact provided on the reservation. Travelers are to ensure that their provided mobile number is reachable.
- An email/SMS with the driver's details is sent within 24 hours prior to the transfers/chauffeur taking place to the provided details on the reservation booking.
- We urge that all confirmations are double-checked by the traveller to ensure accuracy and if any discrepancies are picked up, please respond to the mail or call our 24-hour reservations department to rectify this.
- Booking within 24 hours, please reach out to our 24-hour reservations department to arrange a booking. Alternatively send a mail to bookings@grandconnects.com with your request and should you not receive confirmation within 2 hours time, please reach our 24-hour reservations department or book your transfer/chauffeur online.
- All amendments, cancellations must be made directly with our reservations team or the travel agent, who will communicate with GrandConnects. No changes will be accepted if made with drivers directly. These changes need to be reflected on an updated confirmation mailed to you.
2. Pricing and Additional Charges
- Our rates are provided in full, per transfer (one way) and there are no additional costs per vehicle.
- All transfers/chauffeur are direct door to door. A surcharge of R 150.00 will be charged per any additional stop.
- For transfers between 8pm and 06am carries an additional R 150.00 will be charged per transfer.
- Standard trailers are provided at an additional charge of R 300.00 per trailer. Large trailers are quoted on request.
- Bookings collections to the airport should be booked within minimum of 2 hours prior to domestic departures and 4 hours prior to international departures if travelling from within the city of Johannesburg. GrandConnect will take responsibility for any transfers not booked in accordance with ACSA recommendations. Please contact us reservations for advice on long-distance airport transfers/chauffeur.
3. Waiting Time Policy
Waiting fees of R500.00 per hour & per vehicle, after initial courtesy waiting time (Subject to availability).
Our Waiting Time:
- 20 minutes for non-airport collections
- 40 minutes for domestic airport collections
- 1 hours for international airport collections
4. Cancellation Policy
- All cancellations and amendments must be made 3 hours prior to the pickup time. Failing to do so may result in a 100% no-show.
- All long-distance transfers and large vehicle transfers (7 - 22 passengers) must be cancelled 24 hours prior to the transfer taking place to avoid a cancellation fee.
- All transfer with 18 passengers and up must be cancelled 48 prior to the transfer taking place to avoid a full no show fee.
- We reserve the right to cancel orders and refund customer's money due to incorrect pricing errors.
5. Airport Transfer Services
- All drivers will simply have a board up with the passengers' name in the arrival hall.
- We will attempt to accommodate early/delayed flight arrivals whenever possible, but severely early flights in particular might require the passenger to wait for their driver until the scheduled time of the booking.
6. Indemnity
i. Neither GrandConnects nor any of its directors, employees or agents shall be liable for any loss or damage (including any loss or damage to property left or transported in the vehicle, loss of life), whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from the transfer, including, without limitation, any defect in and/or mechanical failure of the vehicle (howsoever arising and of whatever nature) or the failure of GrandConnects to detect defects in or mechanical problems with the vehicle and whether such loss or damage results from breach of contract or delict, which may be suffered by the passenger and/or any third party.
ii. GrandConnects, its directors, employees, contractors or agents are accordingly indemnified by the transferee/passenger or his estate against any claim of any nature whatsoever and howsoever arising for any damages or loss which might be instituted against it arising from or connected with or pursuant to the transfer.
7. Surety and Co-Principal Debtor
If the passenger enters into this agreement on behalf of any principal, including any disclosed and/or any undisclosed principal, he shall be personally liable jointly and severally with his principal.
8. Payment and Refunds
- Payment made by electronic funds transfer (EFT), must be made at least 24 hours prior to the relevant collection time to avoid automatic cancellation (unless a payment arrangement has been made with our accounts department).
- Payments via processed Payment System.
